About Salt For Your Soul
At Salt For Your Soul, we are believers in a natural, homeopathic lifestyle to care for the body, mind, and soul. We know that lives today are busy; too busy. With work and family demands, often times we put everyone else first, neglecting to take care of ourselves. We’ve found two incredible ways to improve your mental and physical health: Halotherapy and flotation therapy, and put them in one convenient spot. We truly believe in the saying, “The more relaxed you are, the better you are at everything”.
Donating is part of the “soul” of Salt For Your Soul. For every salt session, we donate to Prevail, Inc. Prevail provides crisis intervention and restorative support services for adult, adolescent and child survivors of crime and abuse. For every salt session for pets, we will donate to a local animal rescue organization.
Meet the Owners
I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University, and a degree in Applied Educational Neuroscience from Butler University. My journey to holistic health has been long and amazing. I found that as I grew older, traditional medicines and antibiotics not only didn’t work for me anymore, but were actually making me feel worse. I am allergic to every antibiotic on Earth, so I had to seek other alternatives to keep me healthy. Herbs, meditation, and other natural approaches to health worked and made me feel even better. I also didn’t have the side effects involved in taking antibiotics. This business is a reflection of who I am; each and every part. I want to share with the world my philosophies and beliefs on natural healing, as well as giving back to those in need.
Outside the business, I am a mother of four amazing children: Connor, Olivia, Charlize and Trinity, and two rescue dogs: Barkley and Finn.
I am a fifth grade science teacher in Zionsville. Shauna and I wanted to start Salt For Your Soul because we love the way halotherapy and flotation therapy make us feel without the side effects of traditional medicine. When I’m not teaching, or at Salt For Your Soul, I enjoy spending time with our four children: Connor, Olivia, Charlize, & Trinity, and our dogs, Barkley and Finn.
